 ck Van Dyke and Janet Leigh) devise a plan to have Conrad sing one of Albe
 rt’s songs in a farewell concert on *The Ed Sullivan Show*\, where he wi
 ll kiss one lucky fan (Ann-Margret). Of course\, nothing goes as planned i
 n this musical based on the 1960 Broadway show. Its familiar songs include
  the title song\, "We Love You/Hate You Conrad" and "Put on a Happy Face".
  Lovely Ann-Margret\, our special guest at this year’s Plaza Classic\, b
 ecame a breakout star with this film. The opening and closing sequences wi
 th her at the center were added after the impact she had made throughout t
 he film. She later starred with the real Elvis in *Viva Las Vegas.* — *J
