 re screenplay in development chronicles the disparate lives of two sisters
  who grew up on the border. In this 14-minute short\, set in the early ‘
 70s\, the older\, responsible Griselda tries to hold it together as her fr
 ee-spirited younger sister Lucia prepares to leave for Mexico City. *Orang
 es* follows Contreras’ 2022 short Homesick about lovers separated by the
  U.S.-Mexico border during the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown. It screened at
