 chool awards. Local Flavor is a curated program of contemporary films that
  were made locally\, set locally or have a connection of to the El Paso-Ju
 árez-Las Cruces area. The showcase is curated by Emmy Award-winning Produ
 cer Javier Gonzalez of El Paso (*Still: A Michael J. Fox Movie\, In the Su
 mmers*)\; Jaime Mendez\, Ed.D\, the UTEP Assistant Dean of Students and a 
 charter member of the PCFF program advisory committee\; and Sophia Santos\
 , a 2024 UCLA film school graduate from El Paso who now lives in Austin. A
